Cheesy Apple Crumb Bars

This recipe caught my eye because it said “suspiciously cheesy” and i was immediately intrigued. I’ve heard that apple desserts pair well with cheddar, but I’ve never really gotten into it.

This doesn’t have direct cheese, but it does have Cheez-its, which are genius.

Overall, it was fairly easy to make, way easier than an apple pie and more unique than a crisp, I also loved that the crust and crumb topping have the same base, with egg yolks being what distinguished the two. I also liked that you leave the skin on the apples and cook them on the stove a bit to soften them before baking.

I followed the recipe exactly and they were a crowd-pleaser!
